Its that time of year again when all are very busy at the SYTT.

The AEC Regent V, 7874WJ
is now back on the road after having a new engine, clutch and gearbox fitted over the Winter period.  The bus attended the Chatsworth event in June 2010, and was put through its paces, with a full standing load on the free bus service to Bakewell.  I'm pleased to say that the bus performed superbly, and was very well received by all.

The two Yorkshire Traction Bristol VR's are both now back on the road. 826 has passed its MOT, and 941, after having all the outriggers replaced on the  near side, has also passed its MOT.

Recent arrivals include the AEC Matador, once used by Rotherham Corporation, and former 4475WE, Leyland PD3 M52.
SYPTE Leyland National 2 1075, has also recently arrived, and is in roadworthy condition. The SYTT with give the bus a repaint into the correct version of the SYPTE livery over the coming Summer months.

Work is also progressing on SYPTE Leyland Atlantean 1790, and Daimler Fleetline 836. Both of these restorations are a credit to the owners of the vehicles.

Dennis Dominator 2414, A414YAK is due for its MOT, so its time for this to once again go over one of the inspection pits, and receive attention to the levelling valves at the rear, and no doubt many other items!

SYTT has recently launched a new 12 page quarterly magazine,  and would welcome any new potential members, both active or non active.  It is dead easy to join SYTT - why not see the SYTT membership page on this website for further details.

Parts of our website are still under construction - keep visiting regularly to see new updates.  Have you anything you may wish to contribute?  If so get in touch via the contact details on our Location page.
