In March 2001, the Nova cameras visited England's second city to record its current bus scene for the first edition of Buses In Action - more details here - and Omnibus is proud to show a selection of shots here.

The mainstay of TWM's fleet for many years has been the MCW Metrobus.  This example, A106 WVP is based at Hockley depot.

The 40 Scania N113 buses purchased by TWM from 1990 were the operator's first new double-deckers since the Metrobuses.

The single-deck fleet consists of Volvo B6s and B10s, as well as 193 Mercedes O405N vehicles.

149 Leyland Lynx's remain in the Travel West Midlands fleet, out of 250 purchased during 1990 and 1991.

The Birmingham Coach Company operates 105 vehicles, of which around half are National's.  This is one of the 40 with Volvo engines

Ex-Stagecoach Manchester A747 NNA is one of 20 AN68's operated by North Birmingham Busways.

X636 AKW is one of a batch of 8 Dennis Dart SLF's/UVG which entered service with Pete's Travel in September 2000.

Around 140 Volvo B6's with Wright Crusader bodywork are based throughout the TWM depots.

Several years ago, each of the TWM garages had a bus repainted in the livery of the municipality that previously ran in the area.
