Nova offers MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 encoding services in either PAL or NTSC.  We can also encode to QuickTime, AVI, RealVideo, WindowsMedia or DivX MPEG-4 formats.

MPEG encoding offers full screen, full motion video playback on CD-ROM, video-CD, or video servers and kiosks. MPEG compression, developed by the motion picture experts group, has been accepted around the world as the international standard for digital video compression. Gone are the days of partial-screen, jerky video, with out of sync audio. Any video can be compressed via MPEG encoding and then output to full-screen, full-motion video on CD-ROM or CD-i. The video compression allows up to 72 minutes of video and audio to be placed on one CD-ROM with better than VHS quality video, and CD quality audio.

Applications for MPEG compressed video are virtually limitless. Anything previously produced on video can now be placed on CD-ROM. In addition, interactivity can be added to the CD for the creation of interactive programs.
