Nova is split into different divisions, each having responsibility for a specific area of activity.

Nova Productions
Both the main operating business name and the production division,
Nova Productions produces video, television and film programmes as well as graphics for clients. Its main areas of operation are Documentaries, Corporate/Promotional, Graphics and Animation, Music Videos, Events & Conferences, Consumer Productions and Services for Producers and Broadcasters.

Nova Home Entertainment
The division distributes and markets Nova's own video label, Nova Home Video, and audio label, Nova Audio in the sell-through specialist and leisure interest markets. The labels’ release programmes and titles produced by Nova and by other producers.

Nova Worldwide Sales
The division which distributes and markets Nova productions and services in professional situations throughout the country and the world. It negotiates co-funding and co-production deals with other parties, as well as licensing merchandising relating to Nova owned material and characters. It co-ordinates The Nova Film and Videotape Library.

Nova Digital Media
Nova’s multimedia division set-up to exploit Nova owned material in the computer multimedia and internet environment. The division formats Nova film & video material for use on the internet, produces interactive CD-ROM’s & websites for clients and provides Blu-ray & DVD authoring and MPEG encoding services. It is also to launch its first CD-ROM releases for the home and professional markets in 2009.

Nova Digital Broadcasting
This division was set-up to launch and operate a new range of Nova-branded television channels to be broadcast exclusively via the Internet. At present, Nova Wheels - the world's first online television channel dedicated to transport, and Nova Freetime - dedicated to hobbies and leisure - are available online now, with an ever-expanding selection of video clips.

Nova Training
The training division of Nova, running courses such as the Nova Camcorder School, covering everything the camcorder beginner needs to know. The course costs only £80 and is currently based in South Yorkshire. Nova is looking into the possible franchising of the course across the country.
